How old were you?

I was just thinking about the season coming up shortly. It'll be my first bow season and I'll be hunting alone. I had planned on hunting w. my uncle, but he recently passed, so now I'm going out alone. I'm 20 and I've always shotgun hunted with Dad except for one season (I was 17 and the Old man had a hip surgery haha.) I think it's going to be a stange feeling, but I'm pumped- can't wait!!!

When did you all start hunting alone? I don't mean sitting in a stand away from your dad, I mean driving to the woods by yourself and doing it all alone.

This will be my first year- 20.

15 for me.. but I didn't see it up there.

My ole' man used to let me just take the car when I was 15 and without a license yet. He was an odd bird.. still is.

I was 13 when I started hunting on my own. That was back when there weren't so many laws. I think it was MOSES who gave me permission.

i was 16...i'll never forget my first hunt alone...asked dad if i could skip school the first monday of spring gobbler season...just turned 16 that march...(legal age to hunt alone is 16 in PA) he said sure if your not missing anything important..i walked 2 blocks down the road to the woods and walked back out with my first ever spring long beard!! dad was proud as could be when i woke him up(he worked 3rd shift that night)
