I just read Bowtech 360's post and I think it's sad that his own parents won't take him to a bow shop without charging him for gas.... As a high school teacher, Im telling you folks, we need more kids like this! He's working for his bow and all he wants to do is bowhunt. I know what teens are up to and his parents should be delighted to take him to a bow shop instead of rehab!! Trust me folks when I tell you that teens are far more advanced in the wild side of life than we ever were. Bowtech 360 maybe we can find someone who will take you. God bless you man. I wish more teens were like you. Hang in there bro, keep trying!!

Wow that is just wrong. I wasn't spoiled but my ma and pops took me everywhere I NEEDED to go. Football, basketball and baseball practice. During hunting if my dad didn't go with me, he would drop me off and pick me up at dark. When I turned 16 I filled my truck up with gas (less then 15 dollars) and drove my friends around. If I went to a party and was drinking either I stayed over or got picked up. (by the angry mother) but she was happy that I was being responsible.

Depends on how you want to look at it. In some ways having a working child pay for his gas is a good thing. These days gas isn't cheap. I think he said it's almost 30 miles one way to his nearest Bowtech dealer. For me personally that is 4 gallons of gas round trip with is about $16 here.
But I agree with OP. I'd be chomping at the bit to take my boys to the pro-shop if they asked. (If they were older) I'd much rather have them hooked on archery than other things. I think part of Bowtech360's problem is that his parents aren't hunters.
Take your kids hunting now so you won't have to hunt for them later....
My oldest is going to be 5 in December. But he gets to go out with me for the first time this fall. Also taking my youngest brother on his first hunt. He's 25. Got a few more years before my youngest will be able to go. Hoping that all 3 of them get hooked.
Gonna buy my 4 year old son his first bow next year. He really wants to shoot with me. He was out with me fishing here in VA Beach for bluefish this afternoon like a trooper....the boy is tough!
Heck... lets have a few of us... send this guy $10 a piece. I am up for it, is anyone else???...whats $10 for a fellow bowhunter....espicially a young one...
PM me if interested.
Joe
