I know you cant buy bowtech online unless you qualify for bowtech in the boonies. I cant drive yet and the nearest dealer is like 27.48 miles away. I know they do this to protech bowtech dealers but the price of gas is expensive to drive that far to a proshop. Another thing, why does gander mountain carry Diamond and not Bowtech? Im looking at a Equalizer but may get The General or sumthing else because i can pull back a 70#.
You want a $700-$800 dollar bow but you can't find someone to take you or pay someone to take you?? You probably could call Bowtech and ask them if they will sell you one direct but it will be at full retail.
I don't know why Gander MT doesn't unless they don't have an in house archery shop. Because if they don't all they can call is big box store brands.
Disregard what I said about paying someone, finding someone to take you or calling Bowtech. I just seen your other post and didn't realize that you are under 18.
What I would do is talk to my parents and see if they would take me, let another family member or close friend to the bow shop and let me shot a few to see what you like. That would be the best way to go.
A good dealer offers more than the opportunity to buy an otherwise unavailable bow brand advice, camaraderie, selection, post-sale service etc.
Also, if you go to the dealer, you will have the opportunity to shoot several bows in different draw weights/lengths which will help your decision: General, Equalizer etc. Most of the big stores will not let you shoot a bow until you buy it.
This is a big decision and investment. The extra time, money and gas to arrive at the dealer will pay for itself again and again.
Call a friend with a car. Drive to the bowshop, split the gas cost.
I do feel your pain. I drive nearly 60 miles to my bowshop. One way. In a 2500hd 6.0L chebby. $$$$ One the upside, the proshop is way better and cheaper than Gander Mountain or the other big stores, so it's worth it.
A good pro shop is priceless. I finally found one I really liked 2 yrs. ago and now I would rather drive 60 miles each way than visit some of the local ones. No kidding. I want someone who knows what they are doing, is quick, reasonable on their prices and has a good inventory and I dont mind paying extra to get it.
I would ask one of your friends or your parents to take you and offer to pay the gas. It shouldnt be that expensive on a 60 mile round trip and it would probly be well worth it.
I am looking for a good pro shop. I really want that service that they offer. My bow came from an online place that i got for Xmas and its the only bow I ever shot. My family is pretty cheap and would charge me gas and then some fora 40 min ride out there.
Yeah we took a long car ride today looking at Mustangs for my brother and a Gander Mountain was on the way home. This Gander Mountain had a full service archery shop and range. They carried PSE, Diamond, and some other generic bow company. Did get one of them cool War styl Ammo Boxes for 6 Bucks.
My uncle will take me to a bowshop that is 7 miles away only because he needs stuff also, my only family member that hunts, I will probaly pay for half gas anyway because I make a lot of money mowing lawns.
Bowtech360..It sounds like you are alright for the season opener as you have a bow, right? Perhaps as the new line-up of 09 bows come in many of our Bowtech Staffers Buckeye, Rob, Greg/Mo ...etc etc will be moving off some of the 08's they've had. You could buy a used bowtech that you can trust was used and taken care of properly by someone you can trust! As opposed to someone on say E-bay.
You will probably save a decent penny in the process. Just an idea!
Money really isnt an option, i cant spend money as fast as i can make it, well ive never been to a bow shop so that might change. I have no living expensises.

Could they sell me a used '09? You can shoot it once and call it used right?
