Default Brand new camo, what steps to take????

Hi guys and gals, I just bought some new camo. I was wondering what should the next step be?? I saw advertisements for sports wash and UV killer. Do you think UV is a problem?? Perhaps I should wash it in my scent free detergent and hang it outside? Please let me know what you do and what works for you. I'm trying to score this bowseason on a big one that I've got a picture of and he didn't get big by being stupid!! Thanks for your replies and happy hunting!!

What I do is I wash my camo in some kind of scent killer detergent
then I hang them outside away from my house preferable way up in a tree
so they can dry then I pull three or four hand fulls of pine needles and put
them and my dried camo in a plastic storage tote with lid them give the box a big shake. May not be what everyone else does but seems to work for me

Hey Big... the uv killer is snake oil. just make sure the wash you use doesn't have brighteners in it. UV craze was around 15 or 20 years ago, was determined to be snake oil and disappeared. Someone has resurrected it for round two. Save your money.

Just the added insurance knowing the "snake oil" is still working. I don't know if it works, but I think it's illegal to sell products in the USA claming to do something it doesn't do. So I trust that it rids the UV.

Why are you worried about what to do with it, NOW? Just wondering. I wouldn't do anything to it until a few days before I was gonna use it. Then....wash it up in scent killer (type) detergent....and store it in an airtight bin/bag.

Nothing required, right now. Most allmy camo is in a rubbermaid trash can in my building.
