or I just love hunting. Definately the latter.I went to my land today to do some bow stand work and some cutting. I left about 7:00 and got back at 2:30. The temperature at noon was 101 with a heat index of 112. This heat is getting rediculous. I had to quit because I was pretty much exhausted. I figured I'd better leave before I experienced heatstroke. It's supposed to be 103 tomorrow. Hurry up Fall, please. Anybody else braving the elements or are you waiting til it cools down a little? The problem down here, it won't cool down until October. Even then it's likely to be in the high 80's or low 90's. How hot is it where you are? I've put up with hornet stings, wasp stings, and extremely hot humid weather this summer. Not to mention all the money I have spent already. This better be a good season!
I hear ya strutter. Upper 90's here. It's hotter than two rats makin love in a wool sock. I went up to my land camping and fishing last weekend with some buddies, also did a little cutting and messing with stands and it was upper 90's. I got up early the next morning to work while it was still cool, helped a lot. I'm also lucky enough to have a river to jump in when I get hot workin down there, that water will make satan shrivel, haha. Good luck and do everything to stay cool!
