Default Blessing in disguise. An Honest perspective!

As most of you know, I was a daily contributer on HNI, always had it running in the background at work. The Company crackdown on internet usage put a stop to this. It was not my fault or necessarily any one persons fault just a change in policy. To me, it never interferred with work it was just a casual "break".
Now a couple months into the "new" policy, boy, was I wrong! If there was an intresting post or big debate stirring I was in it! If not posting, I wasreading and refreshing, waiting for the next reply. Even then, I made sure "my" work got done and thought that was cool. Now my work gets done and I'm poking my nose into everything else. I really come home beat and feel more confident and even more secure in my place in the Company. As an upper level Manager I needed to do more than just "my" Job.

It wasn't just HNI, it was the internet as a whole. It was to convienant. I don't expect to change the world with this post. I do miss the board and the personalities. I even feel like I'm letting certain people down with my decreased ability to be online (namely www.Ultimatecamo.com).

I can imagine if I owned a business I would have to make the same unpopular decision. The countless productive hours that people around the world "waste" online, has to be astounding. Just food for thought from an internet junkie 2+ months sober.

Hi GR8, now that you have admitted you have a problem, you only have 11 more steps to take to break the addiction. Keep coming back.

Every since I found the site, I can not stay off the computer at work for the whole month, yet still manage to get my work done, I don't have your typical office job....When I am home I find that there isn't time to get on here for the whole month as I am shooting bows or working around the hunting ranch...So on and so on......I enjoy it but after a month straight on here daily,I also enjoy the break from it too...
