Boys.....were starting out with a bang!.....lol

This is best (and only) buck I have on camera from the last 2 weeks. I also added one photo of a cute doe/fawn. I'll update, periodically.

Looks like you have a buck for Rob to target if he comes down to hunt with you again!

I hear ya, Chris.

I saw 3 guys like this......ALL LAST YEAR......plus the one 8-pointer I took.

Ya just never know, though.....and it's THE reason I'm not putting out cameras on the other properties. I don't want to know.

Guys.....

You know it's bad when I see a deer coming down the trail and say to myself...."Just don't be a BUCK!"

Jeff why don't you look into trying to find some property in the eastern part of the state? I mean where are you exactly?

VA:

I don't complain (and I'm not in this thread) about my deer hunting properties. I do have some new ones, this year, but I've never complained about the ones I have. If I make mention of the size deer, here, it's factual and not to be construed as bitching.

I hope that's always clear. I do the best I can hunting where I choose to hunt.....and I'm OK with that.

BUT....I would be lying if I told you I was anything other than "excited" about the new lands I have access to. Who knows what it holds? I'm also content if I don't shoot a buck for a while. I've had a good run.....and it wouldn't bother me a bit to not shoot one this year.

Hunting where I do is a blessing (proximity to home). I'll take the trade-off of the smaller deer.
