Default Whats the story?

Whenever i see these polls about what bow is best and which bow do you shoot, i never hardly ever see Martin mentioned. I have personally owned a Matthews, Bear and now a Martin. My Martin is the best bow that i have ever owned and everytime i go to the pro shop to try some other brands i always leave impressed with another Martin. I'm by no means an archery expert but i am sure that some of you are. Could you fill me in on why Martin is never mentioned along with the big names in archery?

Back when I shot compounds my 1st bow was a Martin Lynx. I loved that bow and man was that thing smooth. If you were on a more "Martin friendly hunting forum" you would see more people bragging them up I'm guessing. Lots of people do shoot them but I don't think they are as popular as they once were.

It matters because i shoot one. I would like to know if there is something that i'm not aware of. Like they tend to not last as long or they are made of cheap materials. Just trying to learn something Rory/MO.

Preference I guess.. My brother has shot Martin for years and likes the bow.. Although I think if he had more money he'd probably buy a more expensive bow.. But it's just preference.. I know the Martin red head girl is really hot!!!! That's worth something right there.. lol

Ok.. Advertising and name has a lot to do with it. But it's not junk or weak I wouldn't say.. Not quite on the same level as the top three imo.. Design and innovation is a big part of it I'd say. My brothers Martin for example does not have parralell limbs, roller guard, string suppressors, or a very nice grip.. Not too mention I don't care for the feel, I think it's noisy and for me it wouldn't fit.. But for him it's good to go and kills a lot of deer.. I don't know what to tell ya, if your happy with it then shoot it..

Martin bows are top notch in my opinion. Just as good as any other top name out there. I still have my old 1993 lynx target bow and it can still kill dots as good as any new one. I shot a new slayer x last year and that bad boy was smooth..........son......

Once again it's all preference.. They have a good following.. I wouldn't shoot Hoyt either but it's just my preference.. If Bowtech and Mathews were at the bottom I'd still shoot them if I liked what they were making.. My wife liked the feel of a Parker bow over many others and that is what she chose, she liked it..

Lots of good bows out there. I may not like what you like and vice versa but it's all in what ya gotta have.. Preference..

Start one.

I dislike the way they've advertised so much so I don't want one.
