I have been using one for 5 or 6years now and WILL NOT go hunting with out one.

I was sceptical when I first purchased one but I hated using stuff like No Stinkin Bugs so I figured what the heck..... I was hunting in SE Alabama along the Chattahoochie River in Eufaula NWR. I had my thermacell on goinginto the woods in the afternoon and wasn't bothered my mosquitoes. I climbed to about 25 feet and figured the mosquitoes wouldn't bother me that high up so I turned it off.Yeah Right! Within 1 minute I had so many mosquitoes swarming andbiting meit was allI coulddo to get it turned back on.

I never go hunting with out one any more. If Ihappened toforget itI would buy another before I went hunting down here in Florida.

Here in Florida the Thermacell is as important to bring along asbroadheads. Hunting without one would be like tying a piece of flint to the end of your arrow, you could do it but would you want to.

Has anyone tried this on a lake for night fishing? I'll be going to canada next weekend, and every year I can never take the mosquitos right at dusk, and that's when the fishing is just starting to get good. I may try one and see how it does, but I'm looking for opinions on this? The need for one during hunting for me is iffy, because many of the bugs aren't too bad in early October (unless we have a heat wave).

I've used them on a Bear Bait right next to a Lake and it works like a charm there!
