Well I had some time the other night while I was watchin some hunting DVD's and did something that I think will help me plan my attack. I used various computer programs to overlay topo lines and creeks on a satellite image. This really opened my eyes to my hunting area. It will help me to better hunt oak flats and terrain. Something I think is extremely important when hunting big woods...
Check it out a small clip of what i did:

Ed, that looks pretty good...I have the topo's and the aerial images but haven't figured that one out yet. That could be helpful to overlay them....What program did you use and how did you get it lined up exactly???

Some places I hunt have beem strip mined and it makes the topo's crap, makes me wonder if things couldn't be better. And now that I think of it, I wonder why the mapping company I use didn't come up with something similar.
