make a deal with her. do something she wants to do if she will go hunting with you. take her out during nice weather and don't make her sit there all day like a statue. keeping a new hunter out all day in bad weather and complaining about them not being quiet or still is the best way to lose their interest. don't stress over killing an animal with them just try to make it a pleasant experience. good luck.
My wife was never around hunting before I came along. The first year we were together she learned that she LOVES backstrap. I bought her a bow and gave it to her as a birthday present, explaining that this is something I love to do and something we could do together. She started shooting, not hunting, but shooting is a first step. Next, I invited her out on a few gun hunts with me. I put a pop-up blind next to my tree stand, that way she could have a blanket, move, read a book, or even just sleep without worring that she was messing up the hunt. It worked perfect, she watched as I took two deer that first trip out. Next was an invite to go a bow hunt with me. Again, the pop-up blind worked great. I put her about 100 yards from me where she could look out into a field and a draw in the woods, this way she could see a lot of deer, maybe not within shooting range, but she could see them. We are not talking about her getting into a stand with a bow. I am not pushing the issue, just taking it slowing and letting her get her feet wet. If you push, you loose. Take it slow and explain how hunting (maybe not her shooting) is a way for you and her to spend some extra quality time together. Good luck!
