This is what happens when local issues become national issues. Its a shame...

Hunters and ranchers are already getting the shaft, if hunting was allowed they'd still get it. Let them filthy beast breed themselves right back into extintion and hunters getting payed to send them there, not paying to keep them only a hunter/rancher problem

I read all 40 pages of the ruling. Interesting reading. The plaintifs were also on the Wyoming kick again......

Well to be clear, this isn't the judges final ruling on the issue. It is merely an preliminary injunction, which is just a temporary reinstatement of the endangered species protection while the case is waiting for trial. Although this is certainly a step backwards, it is likely the judge took this measure in order to err on the side of caution should the anti's be able to make their case. Hunters like ourselves who have followed these developments know the "environmentalists" don't have any of the facts on their side, merely emotional arguments about restoring wolves in places far away from their condos and suburbs. Hopefully once this issue goes to trial and gets settled the Court will make the right decision and rule for science and logic and leave the wolf management to the biologists in the fields, not the tree huggers in the cities.

I am not what you might call a city tree hugger, I live in Belgium. Wolves have been extinct from asearly as 1800's. So judging the american issue for me is unthinkable.
I just want to comment on this without being judge or jury....

I think wolves play a big roll in animal management, more than hunters do;
Hunters are more likely to kill off big bucks and mature animals ( not old ) where as wolves do the fina art of trimming off the unhealthy and old animals.
This benefits the hunters, it keeps the herd healthy

Fact; letting wolves do their job keeps the grazers on a move making them less easier targets and lit givesthe smaller plants and young trees get a chance to grow up.
On the short term making us hunters really have a sport and on the long term keeping the landscape as it was....( declining wolf population is the key factor of the loss of trees and forestation in Yellowstone.....how does "he" know all this.........)

I am sure that ranchersand farmers hate deer as much as wolves because they eat and they've been doing it for the better part of their lives.
And this is a wild guess, but I think they getsome kindof governement fee whendamages occuron any of their animals. At least over here they do......

I have no sentimental connection with american wolves, if it would be belgian wolves I would be on the barricades. Why ? because they were here before us and I want them to be here after us. They don't kill for a sport or to annoy anyone, they just kill to survive and I grant them that.....
if wolves are dangerous to people in any way it needs to be dealt with, not by removing them from a list but case by case.
You don't ban cars if you think traffic is dangerous or someone gets run over.....( crude comparisson, I know )

I didn't read the article !!!and I am for some kind of management, but removing them from the list in my opinion would be a bad idea. I can only see this from my point of view.
For this reason we don't have any wolves or bears left.......
