A 3D shoot is normally held at an archery club that sets up a shooting course from 15-45 targets (normally 30 targets) that are the life like 3D animals and you walk the course and shoot the animals from unknown yardages. They are not too expensive, around my house they run from $10-$20 depending on if you are amember of the club or not. They are a lot of fun and some good yardagepractice, you should be able to find one locally, just look up archery clubs in the phone book or ask around at local bow shops....

3D Shooting is really target practice .... you go to an local archery range and pay about 7 to 10 dollars to shoot at life like targets.
Some ranges have indoor and outdoor course's where they have these life like targets set up at diffrent range's , some will have one to three targets at each station.
You shoot one arrow at each target and then figure out your score , the scoring will either be IBO or ASA being 12 , 10 , 8 , 5 or just 10 , 8 , and 5.
12 and 10 being right in the vital's , 8is whould be the lung area and 5 is anywhere outside of that and you can not use broadheads on these targets ... the range owners whouldn't like too much.

Man, I just did my first 3D shoot last week and had an absolute blast! It only cost me $10. Had 30 targets and took about 2 hours to walk the course. Just check withyour local Archery clubsfor info and DO IT!It's the most fun you can have during the off season Btw, take some good binoc'sif you want to keep score! I learned this the hard way [8D]

What would have 33yds done to him? That's a blind guess, I'm just trying to imagine. How far was he, do you remember?

I believe the deer was in the 35 yard range but I honestly don't remember.I might have stepped up in front of the stake to take the pictures.

The fish was around 21 I believe but I did step up on him to take the pic and the hog was in the upper 20's.I just moved up,notice only the kids stake in the picture.

This could be a fun game to play if we had some exacts to work with.[8D]
