I have used them rarely but I won't lie I have tried them with some success. Doe tarsal works good too if you get her in the right time of year. However, that is risky business b/c IMO they are better alive to attract a buck...

i voted sometimtes yes and sometimes no... This year im not using them at all though, to risky in the area im in.. most of the time they never worked, but 2 or 3 times they worked and i must've just caught them at the right time...
My first bow kill was a young buck chasing a hot doe. . and hestopped just long enough to take a few side steps to sniffmy little film canister ofPrimos doe urine.
I'm not pretending to be a "pro" here; just sharing my exact experience of last years take of a really nice 5 pt. Buck with my bow. I arrived at my ladder stand in the early a.m., still quite dark....had to take a whizz...decided not to do this while up in my stand (safety reasons); so I walked about 18 yards over to a tree that was about 3 yrds. beyond my small bait pile of corn kernels and a few apples. Got up in my stand, and right at day break the 5 point comes in, he begins to walk over to the bait pile, but then suddenly he veers off slowly to the tree that I had whizzed on (I whizzed up and down the tree...dont know 'why' but thats what I did); and this deer begins to check it out, he is whiffing it up and down...and I'm watching this happen and darn near forgot take the shot...I was totally intrigued....I took the shot...It was a text book perfect quartering away shot...He went down and out within 35 yards. My conclusion? Deer are curious, they get interested in a particular scent and they want to check it out...if they are offended then their out of there! Or, they get "interested"...and now you have an opportunity. So, picking the right scent to me at least is a bit of a crap shoot. Better to have one than not.....and who knows what Mr. Whitetail might be interested in that day....or not. I drink Miller Lite....think that might be it?? (I'm somewhat serious here....but only slightly). Hope this helps to add a new dimension to your question.
I've never had any luck...... I leave them at home. Oh OK...... I've brought in some spikers
