Default Got Doe Management?

The past two nights I decided to take a few rides around the local area and look for deer since I really didn't have anything else to do. Close to where I live there's several hundred acres of forest preserve that's totally off limits to hunting, surrounded by probably thousands of acres of land divided up between wooded estate homes where ridiculously rich people live, and usually don't allow any hunting. Needless to say, the deer in this area are like rats. They're literally everywhere and are pretty much immune to human activity. They see you and just go back to what they're doing, which is usually eating trees and bushes in people's yards. Here's a few photos I snapped. All of these were taken from my truck with the exception of the first two, which were taken out in the forest preserve as I was walking around. Hopefully I can find some good bucks this summer.

Tell me about it. I went to meet MECHDOC on Saturday morning and a Doe had traffic stopped on 72 in Carpentersville/Dundee area a mile from 59. She was waiting for her fawn to catch up and decided that nobody would run her over[:-]

Skanks!

I've got a Nikon D40 with a 55-200mm 3.5-5.6 VR lens. Its not the greatest in the world for low-light long distance photos, but it works for now. Some day when I win the lottery or somehow become rich and famous I'll get that 400mm 2.8 lens I have my eye on.

Rob - that doe's head is ridiculous. She's and old one for sure. She couldn't quite figure out what I was as we were in waist-high grass and I was downwind of her. Eventually she got nervous and scampered off, but not far.
