What is your favorite food to put out for deer?

in the heat of summer what do you like to put out for the deer? I have notice that apples go over really well. As far as the store bought stuff I have found that "Lucky Buck" works real good and keeps them coming back! Just interested in seeing what you guys put out.

We supplement feed year round, a tri mix and a 50/50 mixthat a local co-op produces...16%protein pellets 1/3, slpit peas 1/3, corn 1/3 is the tri mix. The 50/50 is just protein and split peas, we mix them up through out the year, right now we have the tri mix out but will probably go to the 50/50 mix soon....I also have a couple places with trophy rock out!!!!!!

Buck Jam on any old stump or rotted piece of wood.They'll chew right through the middle ofany stump.

The only thing i have ever tried is corn from a feeder. I had zero luck. We have so many turkeys around here they tear it up long before the deer can get to it. Evidence was in the trail cam photos

bloodcrick, that is the one thing we lack at our place is turkeys...If you need some help with them turkeys you got up there next spring, let me know....

thats what i do, and it works great

Corn is the best food IMO though, lay out 50 lbs of corn around here and its gone in a night

I let you in on something my dad taught me about 20 years ago. Find atree about 10 to 15 feet tall thats overgrown with honeysuckle, bind it over and stake it down, then drape square fencing over it and fertilize it. Now you have a food source all year around that requires no maintenanceandhas one of the highest proteincontentsof allwild brows. If youneed it in aspecific location, put the fencingbetween two trees and transplant it, it will grow any were and deer love it.
