Default Gamecams - Anyone else "just" getting ready?

I only put mine out, now, for about 6 weeks out of the year. "Inventory".

I'm only going to set it on one property....as I don't even wanna go into the new ones, at all.

I'm betting I don't get photos of: Elephants, lions, tigers, bears, hippos or chupacabras......but I suppose using the current board "ghost" logic....they "could" (and likely ARE) be there.

I'm guessing the 3.5yr old I had on film from '07 is still out there. Past that.......it's a crap shoot.

We'll see come 8/1 (or thereabouts) when I pull the card for the first time. I sure hope I'm wrong....and there's more to rest hope on.

So.....anyone else ONLY put them up for a short period of time.....pre-season?

Put one out last week on one piece I hunt closeby, putting another out this weekend on the Shore and will put two out at the family farm the end of July when I go to bush-hog. I'll leave them out til early Sept. Sometimes I put them back out for a while in January after the season.

Mine stay out all season long. I place them mainly by the food plots. It doesn't seem to bother them there.

I have 4 out right now. Two that have been out for two weeks or so, the other two just went out on Sunday. I'll check them every 1-2 weeks and keep them near food sources during the summer, and move them to staging areas/scrape lines during the fall. Like usual, I'll probably just get pictures of does, coyotes, and a bunch of small bucks.

Your right, and i leave my scent everywhere when i have to put out 100 lbs of corn in front of a camera once a week too. I put mine up once, maybe twice in a area and then leave it alone.
