Default Well guys im headed to surgery tomorrow.

Well i did a very stupid thing this past weekend and broke my elbow. I am getting pins put in tomorrow and I have never been so worried. Everything seemed to be falling into place for me, I finally signed to a college for baseball then this happened. The doctor said that i should be able to swing a bat in about 4 weeks, the bad thing is that i head to school in 4 weeks so i have no time to get ready. There goes my fishing, bow fishing and pretty much my summer. I just hope i can be healed before the baseball and hunting season starts. I dont know what ill do if i cant pull a bow back anymore. Do you guys think i could get a permit for my dads cross bow if my arm is not fully healed or does my injury not apply? Man i hope this surgery helps and it heals soon.[:@]

Good luck to you with your surgery and recovery! I don't know why you wouldn't be entitled to hunt with a crossbow with a Doctors verification of your condition.
I hope every thing turns out all right!

It depends on your state regs whether or not you can get a permit. Some states allow for temporary disability, some only accept permanent disability.

But that's not your biggest issue right now. All you need to be worried about at the moment is your post op rehab and getting back into shape to play ball and get your education. Pay attention to your medical people and do what they tell you to do. If they tell you it means laying off hunting for a season, then do it. There are many more seasons to come.

Get well soon!

Well I wish you a very safe surgery and speedy recovery. I wouldn't worry about the hunting. That will all work itself out in time!

Sorry to hear about your untimely (not that there's a good time)injury. You're a young buck, you'll mend up in no time. Like someone said, do EXACTLY what the doc says to do. Good luck to you!
