Default How much do you know?

How much do you think you know percentage-wise about hunting mature whitetail "bucks"?

This should be an honest poll.

Not enough thats for sure, so I vote 25%. Just enough to kill one as often as I eat my tag.[:@]

I have studied and hunted for a lot of years... 30+. And I feel that I know a fair bit, but ever year they still show me how ignorant I am.... so I give myself a 50 / 50. I get them, but they fool me a lot too.

I voted 25%. I can see them but I have trouble in getting them within recurve range all to often. Thats the challenge in traditional hunting though so I've learned to live with it and except it or just plain old get better at getting them with in 15 yards in which I need to do.

Just when I think I know how to get close to one of them they usually don't do the same thing or I never see them. So I voted for I hunt for immature deer! Seriously, I just go out there and hunt and try to find a big deer by moving around and hunting different areas. I hunt very high pressured public land and I don't see big deer in the same spot in consecutive years. One of these days when I have my own land to hunt and have all the time I need to be proficient I will try to do what I can to learn everything about them. However this area I hunt is great land and I do see big deer each year I just have not been able to get a good shot on one yet. Did I mention it is thick!

I used the S.W.A.G. method and came up with 75%. [:-]

well, I am not voting because I have no idea. The last two years the first mature buck I saw bowhuntingI managed to get within bow range and tag, but most of thatwas luck and although I will do my best to continue that streak I am still a realist - it will not continue for very long....I am somewhere in the 0-50% range

I said 25% as I know a little, but they are constantly pushing the envelope and teaching me new lessons!!! I'm still at the stage where they win much more than I do!

I'll let you know after this season. So far I haven't hunted for them at all....and I'm 2 for 3.

So...is this really, really hard......or really, really easy?
