RE: Tips for Turkey???
I think that first you should buy a Double Bull! If you have a chance watch one of their vidieos and you' ll see why. An 80% letoff cam/bow is another good choice. At times you have to hold your bow for what seems like forever. Again, face your decoys towards your blind. Buy a chair that makes zero noise when drawing since we all know how well a turk hears, especially at 15 yards! Get yourself out there early because your not near as mobile as you are with a gun. It can get mighty frustrating setting in a blind when it' s hot and nothing is going on in the middle of the day and you can' t move fast with all your equipment! I' m not saying you can' t still hunt w/out a blind, I just have not done that yet. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE! Oh ya, get a LARGE cutting broadhead! I still have a lot to learn since I have only done it with a bow for one season. I harvested a Tom last spring with lots of luck on my side!!!! I had been setting up in the same spot for a couple day' s, a spot another member on this board turned me onto, when on an evening hunt only 15 min. or so into it, four Tom' s came into my hen decoy. I had never made a call when these Tom' s came into the alfalfa field. Great topic, curious to see other replies since I' m still learning myself. Best of luck!!
