Default Changes?

What changes to your hunting style would you like to develop over the next few seasons?

Anything?

Personally, I want to start hunting closer to bedding areas without getting busted. One other thing would be to learn more about the wind in my hunting areas.

How about you?

Entering my third year of hunting. Haven't been too successful so far so....
I'd also like to try to start hunting the wind and see if it boosts my deer sightings vs deer in range ratio.

I want to learn more about deer. I know where to hunt over food or water. I can find game trails and bedding areas. I want to learn more about being in the right place at the right time. I NEED to study behavior to learn where they will be and when they will be there.

I learn something new every year, heck almost every day hunting, but I'll have to wait and see how these things that I learn this year actually change my hunting if at all.

I need to put a MUCH stronger emphasis on bedding areas and how to hunt them. Now that I've learned to read maps and how the deer relate to the terrain, I need to fine tune that to exactly where they'll be. Rather than setting up in a funnel and waiting (which is very effective, BTW) I need to put the puzzle together more and incorporate the bedding areas. I feel that if I can do that, in conjunction with the maps and funnels.....I'll be much more successful.

I want to be more effective from the ground. I've been trying it more over the past few years and its fun.
