Nothing to be embarrassed about. I believe even some of the very best have tasted it before. Just be honest.

I last killed a 6 point buck 2 years ago. Normally, I wouldn't even have shot it, but when you hunt with my brother and it has bone, he expects you to shoot it.
Berfore that it was 2002. If you hunt bigger bucks, you're gonna eat tag soup sometimes. I always have 'doe' soup myself.

Other that my 1st 2 years bowhunting, I"™ve never went longer than one season without tagging a buck. That don"™t mean much of anything, back then I was not very picky. Hopefully I will connect this year.

Got lucky last year, so I voted 0 but prior to that, I was holding out and did eat it the year before.

I haven't hunted a full season where I've been skunked on bucks. I startedDEERhunting on (I think) Oct. 17th of 2005. I took an ill-advised shot at a doe, that year.....on the closer....that I regret taking (clean miss - and my only attempt at a deer, that year). I never came to full draw on a buck, in those 30 or so hunts, that fall.
Since then.....I've taken 5 bucks (3 in '06 and 2 in '07). I see my shooting a buck every season screeching to a halt in the near future, though....as my standards evolve.
