Default Will the gas prices affect your hunting??

The more and more I think about it I havent been able to get out to scout as much as other years for one reason, I cant afford it. To get to my hunting spots and back it takes about a quarter tank and i cant aford to do that once or twice a week. My time in the outdoors is suffering due to the gas prices, is yours??

Ryan.

No! Its the only thing that keeps me from cracking. Gotta get to my hunting spot whenever I get the chance. Or the wife tells me its o.k. to go.

My hunting spots are within 10 miles of my house. So no. I feel for you guys that live a distance from your properties.

For me it's about 2 gallons of gas round trip. That's not too bad.

My best hog hunting spot here in California is 315 miles away, The 2nd best hog hunting spot is about 175mi away...so when it comes to hunting hogs it will affect me...sooner than later.
Bear hunting for me is only 30 minutes from home...so gas will not afffect the bear hunting in the fall.

every thing I do now is justified with the amount of money in gas I will spend to do it.

No!! The job effects my hunting enough. Gas prices will cut my driving down for scouting but since some of my hunting spots are only a couple miles from town... Tyler and I will be biking to them to save on gas and get some exercise. My other spots are close to work, so I can scout on the way to and from work.

I would have to say that I am saving alot of money this year by not actually being able to go out and scout my hunting properties due to the fact that I am deployed!!!! But I am sure that if I was home I would just be spending the money in gas just to get out in the woods!!
