Default How to stay safe from ticks and be scent free?

How does one go about staying fairly tick free without spraying yourself down for hunting situations. Usually I hunt rifle in the winter but now that I bow hunt and have expanded my hunting range I am scratching my head a little he he.

Repel makes a product with Permanone. It's the only thing I've found to repel ticks for turkey season. Not sure how scent free it is but I can't smell it. You apply it to your clothes liberally (not while wearing them) and let dry for 4 hours , DO NOT APPLY TO SKIN!!!!

I use NO STINKIN' TICKS by Scent Shield.

I'd second the Permanone recommendation. Once applied, it lasts for 10 days to 2 weeks and will be effective even after laundering. It has no scent. We use it for turkey hunting in deer tick country. It makes for carefree hunting in tick country.

Other things may work but Coulston's Odorless Formula Duranon Tick Repellant works very good. You spray it on your clothes and let dry before you wear them. It lasts for weeks. Check it out.

The Permanone is the only scent free that I have encountered, but this past turkey season and even now while setting stands, cutting lanes, etc. my wife has fun checking me for ticks!

Brad Paisley sings it best:

Hey that gives me an idea
Lets get out of this bar
Drive out to the country
And find a place to park

"˜cause Id like to see you
Out in the moonlight
I"™d like to kiss you
Way back in the sticks

I"™d like to walk you
Through a field of wildflowers
And I"™d like to check you for ticks

I know the perfect little path
Out in these woods I used to hunt
Don"™t worry babe I"™ve got your back
And I"™ve also got your front
