Default High Speed Fixed Blade Broadhead?

I have always used fixed blades in the past, but with my 82nd shooting 340fps, there are planing issues. Anybody shooting super fast and using fixed blades? What do you use? I have heard rumors that the Wasp Boss Bullet works, but I have not shot it. Have any of you?

Your going to need a small low profile head. Sonics and similar sized heads. I have neve shot anything that fast so I can't speak for sure as to speed. I have however tested a lot of broadheads and there are some really good ones that shoot more or less like field points. Even in this class of heads there are some that will stand out at higher speeds I am sure. I would personaly look for a 3 blade1" head and go from there. That will give you the best shot at getting accurate flight. Keep in mind that fletching type, bow tune, etc. all have a lot to do with how accurate your heads will shoot as well.

Slick Tricks are the best flying fixed blade that I've had experience with. They are also super Sharp, super Tough, and cut some Nasty holes.

I'm shooting the Slick Trick standard 1'' (85 gr.) at 315 fps, same POI as field points @ 30 yards.

I dunno about 340, but I do know that at 320 fps Slick Tricks and Magnus Stingers fly like lazers.

I never had the best luck with getting my Stingers to fly that great for some reason. I shot them for about a season and a half before I switched over to NAP Nitrons. Much like Slick Trick they're a low profile head that's super sharp and flies like a dart. IMO the most accurate head I have ever shot.

I'll be testing out some Hellrazors this fall, but if I can't get them to fly as well as I want it'll be back to my trusty Nitrons.

The stingers look sweet, but they are too long and would have planing issues as well (I have shot them). By the way, I am going to need at least 100 grain broadheads for bear. Consider the fact the I asked this question because I had planing issues with Strikers and Montecs (pretty small). I will try the slick tricks. Any other I ideas?

Small fixed heads scare the H out of me. Not enough damage IMO - I like to slaughter what I shoot at! A mechanical will fly beautifully regardless of speed!

A buddy of mine shot a buck last season with a G5 striker (I believe that's the head). Hit it low and back. Guts, a little liver we believed. We chased this thing for miles - it just wouldn't die. I did find the buck though - this spring.

My other buddy shot a buck in nearly the same place this year - liver shot. He was shooting a 2-blade rage. His buck poured blood for about 80 yards before dieing. This is why I believe Mechanicals have the advantage. Same great broadhead flight - but they cause FAR more damage.

At-least I found his buck!

For everyone of those stories, there is one with a mech not getting the Job done either

For the record I have not decided what I am going to use. There is a very good reason I keep by arrow speed under 275 fps. BH flight is good with any head.
