Default Ill. tags

I bought my tag and got a reference number and now what??? Do I get anything
in the mail or what. Drop over 400 bucks and not sure whats next.

You wait till about August or so when they have the lottery. I think this year since they upped the number of tags everybody will get a tag. Then you get your tag in the mail and kill a monster. Simple as that

once you get your tag(s) make sure you purchase a hunting license and habit stamp

You apply, pay $400, and then wait. When everyone gets a tag, say about mid-July to be safe, IDNR will post a message on it's website that says everyone got a tag. Then in August or September, your tags will come in the mail.You now have the joy of providing for the needs of IDNR via your $400 bucks.

last year the tags were a bit bungled. I had to have the DNR to reprint mine and send a new one. Several people didn't get them until late.

Yea, born & raised in Ill. & sinceall the BIG Bucks have been killed I moved to Iowa for better Deer Hunting.
