Its that time of year again when I am just crawling out of my skin to get back out there. Fishing just aint cuttin it any more. Next week is my first trip for scouting cameras and checking out stands. That will either help alittle or make it even worse..........What do you guys do to fight "the itch"??

. no i think about what the shot process will be like seeing the big bruiser walking in to my shooting lane. then the shot and seeing him run off. i cant wait.

WHEW! I thought I was the only one itchin. I skip the fishin. Heck, during turkey season all I did was plan for my deer hunt. Looked for scrapes, rubs, sheds, everything. I even mental logged where I spooked deer while turkey hunting. Ive been waiting for someone on this forum to start talking about it. Thanks squireboy! Lets keep it going!

Im there with ya...Got my cameras out and been putting out some food. Watching lots of Hunting videos and shows, love the Whitetail Freaks show, it really gets me pumped. Shooting my bow, so when ol Freak Nasty walks under my stand, I make a perfect shot...

I hear ya on the fishing. I have been tournament fishing for yrs like 15 yrs now and Im just simply not into it this yr. I have bowhunting a little longer than tournament fishing, but for some reason this yr my bowhunting has become the center focus for me. I shoot a few times a week, I do fish a little, I got a 35K Triton that just sits!!! My wife is going to kill me!!! I tinker with things on the bow, but nothing major, I read bow hunting mags and reviews on gear to pass the time. Makes it worse that Im off for the summers b/c Im a teacher!

I've got bear hunting coming 1st so thats going to consume my time until whitetails come into rut. Bear baiting opens August 15th so my time in the woods will get much better every weekend. I can't wait.
