Default Arrow selection help

Im in the market for new arrows. I want a good combination of speed and KE for deer and hog hunting. I shoot a 2006 Hoyt Lazertec 60# 28 draw what would be a good arrow for my situation.

Default RE: Arrow selection help

I'm pretty big on the Easton Axis FMJ arrows. You will want the 400 series for your setup, and the finished arrow weight will be around 430 grains with 100 grain heads - depending on fletching and whether you use crests. High speed photography pretty clearly shows that these arrow have less oscillation coming off the string, and less oscillation when the head encounters resistance. Between that and the slender slippery shaft, they penetrate way better than they should. Your setup should put you somewhere in the 250's - maybe 260 - for speed.Fast enough to not worry about much out to 30 yards- and your'egoing to need a rangefinder past that anyway. Great balance of speed and penetration.
