Default Octane Stabilizers

Have any of you guys received your octane stabilizers yet? IF you did how do you guys like them? Are they as light and effective as stated to be?

Been waiting for 4 weeks and I'm pissed! It's the last piece I need to finish out my new Switchback. My brother looked at one in Mobile, AL and said they are light as a feather. I'm beginning to think those stabilizers are non-existant, about to go try another company.

Not overly impressed, what's supposed to be so special about them??? What's the big draw??? Not trying to be negative, but I don't see what's so special about them personally.

Why would "light as a feather" be a selling point for stabilizers? One purpose, at least of my stabilizers, is to add the right amount of weight to help keep the bow balanced and steady in my hand. Doinker for me...plenty of options to choose from and yes, available, LOL.

Have you actually seen 1? Shot 1 on a Bow?

While there are several quality stabilizers on the Market (Doinker, Stealth) Some of the cheaper onesdo very little to actually stabilize a Bow

Maybe some are not as picky

Just to point out something you over looked.... A lot of bow setups do not need extra weight out front to help stabilize after the shot. I would say most stabilizers used on newer hunting bows are to help reduce shock / noise and in a lot of cases aesthetics.

The s-coil will not stabilize a bow in most cases but they sure sell the heck out of them

The 7 inch stabilizer weighs 5.1 oz and the 11.5 inch 6.5 oz.

Dan,
Yeah, I did see one, didn't shoot it on a bow, I just thought the RED inside looked a little goofy, and I thought the weight was "too light" for any REAL stabilization. I know your a BT guy and its one of your products, but there would seem to be a lot of better products out there that a guy wouldn't have to wait 4 weeks on like the OP. Heck, in all honesty, I have a nice X-Ring, and a cheap Eastman Outfitter Carbon Rod Stabilizer, and I think the CHEAP one (and I mean cheap $8), is just as good.

No offense intended, but I just don't see the draw. They seem like a product that gained "fanboy" status rather quickly to me. And I doubt if the OP has shot a bow with one either, just WANTED the product because of the name and reputation.

Agreed 100%, I have an S-coil, but it is nothing more than a noise/vibration suppressor. And I did find out I shoot better with a "real" stabilizer on the bow than the "Psuedo" stabilizer. On my Highlander, it's pretty well balanced, therefore the S-Coil is on it. My Trykon wears the CHEAP stabilizer mentioned above, because it seem to balance it better and made my shooting a little better.
