Default Who taught Ted?

I was reading the August issue of Deer & Deer Hunting magazine, and there's article in it by our ownuncle Ted, called "Tune It Down", referring to shooting a little less draw weight. There's a pic of him drawing his bow. I want to know where he learned how to griphis bow? That's sad! [:@]Any thoughts?

Don't know who taught him, but he claims to have spent time with Fred Bear. He still shoots without sights right?

Sometimes, I'm pretty sure that I've seen him use a single pin sight on a few occassions. He also cants his compound a lot while shooting.

Its easier to shoot thru the fence that way.

i grip my bow just like that. closed handed but no pressure on the handle, b/c the only amount of grip pressure you reproduce every single time is no pressure

If one cants a bow, then thats a fair grip. Your grip no matter if canted or vertical should be just like you holding your arm out naturally, just like he has it.

I have no problem with a canted grip like he has it. Its the way I shoot my straight grip longbow.

And yes, if you shoot feathers and fingers, you can cant a compound and shoot like he is doing. You have to get the arrow pushed away from the riser to be more centershot which you can do iwth a flipper and plunger or bowdoodle made for fingers.
