Default Our season is done!

Today was the end of our spring gobbler season. I got skunked! Had a shot at a nice tom at 40 yds, wouldnt come any closer and I missed. Two other mornings when I was successful in calling in toms were spoiled by frickin hounds running loose.

I had about 5 different good shots of the dogs on my trail cams and cut and pasted the photos on a flyer thanking them for spoiling my fun. I passed the flyers out in their mailboxes (about 15 homes in a 10 mile radius). I put my cell number on it and told them that the Game Warden has given permission to shoot feral dogs on my private property.

I may have started a war but I did what the warden suggested.

Congrats on all that have bagged a bird this year, I should have been at least one up if it wasnt for the loose hounds around here!

Now I guess its time to tend to the food plots and wax the strings on the bow!

Do not follow where the path may lead...go instead where there is no path and blaze a trail!

Man!...But you have some good memories along the way!...Grab a cold beverage and find out what your next hunting task will be....I'm sure there is an open season on something for you
