Peeing and Crapping From Your Tree Stand
The all day hunt threads sparked a memory ....
Pretty simple question .... one that has been asked before ... we will put it in a poll ...... do you do either, neither, or one of them .......
If you do ....let's hear your techiniques ..... your containers used ..etc.

I've heard tons of opinions going both ways on peeing from the stand. I'm not willing to take the chance. I use a bottle made just for that purpose. As to the other... I take care of that early in the AM and don't have to worry about it. IWILL NOTtake a dump close to my hunting site.
If I have to crap I will travel about 200yds for my stand and do my job. I usually take an empty gatorade bottle for pee. I also bring gatorade to drink. Once Idrink the fullone I have an extra pee bottle. liquid in = liquid out so it works good for me. Caution: don't buy the yellow gatorade for hunting!
Your mind id a powerful thing, so I just tell myself I don't have to go!!!
My buddy arrowed a 6-pointer in velvet 5 or 6 years back after getting into his stand...
Realizing he had intestinal gridlock, he got down walked 60 yards made a pile and got back into his stand and 15 minutes later... 6-Pointer.
So now every season I sing Tammy Wynettes *hit bye your stand!

I will pee from my stand, unless its really windy then I will either climb down or pee in a bottle. If I'm in a blind I will pee in a bottle or can and then just dump it out a window.
If I have to take a crap I will go home since I don't hunt far from home. Normally I will go home for lunch or something and go to the bathroom while I'm there. I like to hunt and know I could probably miss out on a really good opertunity by not staying out all day, but sitting in a stand or in a blind all day being uncofortable really isn't my idea of fun. And I'm not real partial to taking a dump in the woods, I'll do it if I have to but only if it's an emergency.

I use a Gatorade bottle for #1 .....lessens the chance of spillage as for #2 ..... I try to go before, but there are times I've had to go ....... I just suffer through it ... sit on the edge od the seat to keep everything in ... lol
A funny little story related to this post ....I relocated my stand during bowseason last year ... I get everything all strapped in and tightened ,,,, I look down andwhat to my wandering eyes should appear, but a big pile of human poo ......garnished with a pair of boxers [>:]....turns out it was my nephews ... he sat there to hunt turkeys a few eeks before A few weeks after that, I shot my 8 pointer, tho ......so it's all good ...

This is probably more information than I should be sharing in a public forum, but I checked both. The #2 has only happened twice over 20+ years of hunting, and I am not saying that I am proud of it, but both times it was an almost emergency where I waited too long as it was during prime time and I wasn't about to climb down and back up, etc.. And then all of a sudden....... I had no choice.
I don't recall anything eventful one way or the other after those two incidences.
I do #1 all the time. I on many ocassions, have had deer of all ages come through shortly thereafter without any change in behavior.
