Default Why do they lock certain threads

The last time I asked this it got locked.Iwould like to hear all opinion or is this russia

No I thought it was a good question nothing bad about it or profain and it has to do with hunting the hunting site itself I am a litte P O ed they locked the last one

I have no idea which thread you're talking about specifically, as I haven't locked a thread in a while... but to answer your question, they're usually locked when they start involving personal attacks -- or the very likely potential for something like that. They can be locked if they're just way off-topic or moved to an appropriate forum, e.g., the off-season forum. There's a variety of other reasons as well; you can look under the posting rules to read a more in-depth analysis on protocol but those are the main two that usually get it.
