Default Quick question

The string silencers on the Ally are starting to fly off bit by bit. I guess it's the factory installed ones, the little spendle things are gone after shooting yesterday. Why? Are they that important that I need to have them?

Only thing I can figure is.....it's got something to do with your STS type thing. Mine didn't do that on my ally. Someone else can chime in as to what's happening with theirs.

you know Jeff I was thinking it was something to do with the abrupt stop of the string, oh well, this bow is so freakin awesome. I will get my wife to take the pics tonight. I shot about 40 shots yesterday from 10-25 yds and never missed the vitals one time, in fact my arrows were very close together on most rounds.

Yup, my top spider thinger on the main string is down to 2 out of 5 of the speedles thingers, last one nailed me in the forehead (not like that is a small target or anything) my bottom one is also showing some pretty good signs of wear also.

The two on the cables, look like they are in perfect shape.

I use a string suppressor, so that might be something to do with it......

I am thinking (at work so I can't see the picts in the thread) that you can see one of the suppressor in the photo

I dont think it has anything to do with your STS...maybe so but I bet not! Mine on the General are on the inside cables. I have none on the outside. I dont think you need them to be honest with you! The STS does a wonderful job at getting rid of noise!

one more thing ...I'm assuming they are on there cause the Allegience does not come with a string supressor from factory! Just take them off you got them in the center. You dont need them! Gosh on my PSE I would go threw leaches like crazy they fly apart after so many shots. Anyways remove them you dont need them!

My string leeches survived about 10 shots after install of an the MeanVCSS. However, the bow is just as quiet without them after install of the string supressor. Take em off and you will probably not notice any increase in noise.

String Suppressors do make it harder to keep that type of string silencer on, but in most cases guys take them off anyway.
