Default Help with Sights

I currently have a Tomkat and I have the sight that came with the factory setup.

And, while I'm not interested in changing the sights right now, I was wondering what exactly the main advantageous are of upgrading to a better sight?

Default RE: Help with Sights

Depends on what sight you have now, some sights may offer higher visibilty the later the evening gets ie, Brighter pins. Some may be made out of better/stronger/lighter material. Others may be quieter. Others may also allow for finer tuning. Some may have bigger pins and some may have smaller pins. My main thing when choosing a sight is "Can i see it late in the evening?" "Will it stay set with my settings?" "Is it strong enough that I wont break it while in the woods?" "Can I shoot worth a dang with it?"
