Default Speeds for an 82nd airborn

Im just curious to what kind of speeds everyone is getting out of their bowtech 82nd airborns? Im planning on picking up one sometime this week. Just wondering what kind of real world speeds I can expect at 70lbs and 29inch draw.

Thanks

Dave

My 82nd is set at 29" and 71lbs... with a single brass nock and a 3/16" G5 Meta Peep on the string, it is shooting my 384 grain arrows right at 328 f.p.s.[:-]

Thats a bit faster than what I got out of mine buck. I got her all set up and shooting this afternoon and with a 368grain arrow I was getting 328fps. Thats at 29inches and 71lbs with a string loop and 3/16" meta peep.

That sounds about right, I have always heard that a string loop will cause a loss of 4 or 5 feet per second in speed. Without the loop your bow should shoot right around 333 f.p.s with you 368 grain arrows.

My 82nd Airborne is only a 60# set at 28" draw but it is shooting my 340 grain Maximas at 308 fps. The bow is not fine tuned yet, but will be in the next week or so. Quite honestly the bow has shot so well I just haven't taken the time to go through the tuning, cam rotation setting, etc. yet.

The 82 is fast becoming my favorite bow!! and not onlybecause of the speed. This thing flat out groups the arrows, and with my hunting setup I will be pumping over 70# KE from a 60# 28" draw bow.

Pretty Amazing for such a Sweet shooter!!

Man I wish I could get an 82nd!! I still love my Marquis. I shoot 300 fps 291 grain arrow 57# 28 in draw. Not bad. And for hunting I will be shooting 270 fps 402 grain arrow at 60# 28". and producing around 65# of K.E!!!![:-]
