Favorite time of the day do you hunt turkeys?

i like 10 to 1 b/c the toms are away from the hens and are easier to call in

Never hunted them in the evening, so it doesn't factor in for me. But...if I had to choose between daylight and late morning...later wins out hands down, not even close.

Early morning, all the birds i have killed have been before 7:30.

Toss up. Early morning vs. Mid day.

I love catching them off the roost in the early morning...

But I like catching them in the open fields strutting from about 9-noon.

Early morning gets the edge, I like to watch the strut and hear them gobble on the roost as I wait in anticipation.

Some of us don't have much of a choice. Here in PA we can only hunt until noon each day during our spring season.

Early morn for sure. Have killed 2 around noon in the past but this year sucks. 5 days left we'll see I'm going to try all times over the next few day

early morning...toms respond and gobble way more than in the afternoon.

Every bird I've killed was before 8am. The birds are more responsive in the early morning. I've always heard late morning to early afternoon, but I've never had any luck or even heard a gobble later.
