Default Things I saw on hunting TV shows

1. this young man shoots a nice buck. He lays his gun across the deer and poses for pics. HIS RIFLE IS POINTING RIGHT AT HIS KNEE ALL THE WHILE.

2. Another hunter poses with a buck and has his bottle of scent elimination spray proped up in front of the deer. Is this going to turn into NASCAR? "My hoyt, scent shield, rage, Lone wolf, real tree, buck."

3. Some guy kills a turkey then dances around hugging another guy with his shotgun still in hand. Then everyone wonders how people could shoot their hunting partners.

What have you guys saw on TV that should have ended up on the editing room floor?

1. I saw a guy walk up to a buck he shot and instead of laying his bow down, he dropped it like he just didn't careand continued to the deer. I know his bow wasfree but wouldn't you want to take care of your stuff.
2. I've also seen it numerous times where theguy layshis rifle down on the animal and walks around in FRONT of the barrel to pose. Now that is safe right there. I can't believe some of these guys are on tv.

they have been in front of the deer for a good time once they start filming. they have cleaned up the blood on it's face positioned the tongue. and unlaoded the gun, for the clip they show you of finding the deer. think back to most of the show you watch the deer almost always lyes perfectly and looks blood free.

Its all sad but the truth of the matter is everyone always looks at the negatives of things.I'm sure all of us have done at least a couple of the things mentioned throughout and other stupider things that aren't mentioned. Yeah those things should be edited out but in reality it really doesnt matter cuz everyone, no matter who you are is going to get excitedat some point in time and even justshooting at the rangeand take actions that are really not safe but go unlooked or ever noticed. I'm sure we've all done alot of dangerous things in our day with out us or anyone else even noticing we did it......... Now how about all the good thigns hunting shows have done for safety and preserving hunting by promoting safety harnessess, not loading the gun till ready to hunt or shoot, make non hunters aware of how important huntign is and give them a chance to see it (even though its not always sowing the truth), educate kids on hunting and safety skills, QDM practicing and other deer management practices, ect....... After its all said and done i think hunting shows do more good than bad for the sport and no matter how much editting can be done people are stupid and are going to do stupid things no matter if they see it on TV or not. People are stupid and get caught up in the moment and I don't think anyone can say they have never done a dangerous thing or never will do a dangerous thign again while hunting. WCL

You wouldnt have ahunt to watchif it wasnt for the promos and props. Simple as that. #2 the companies dont rely on them for buisiness the show relys on the company for money intern the buisiness relys on the viewers. Its a cycle that can't be broke. WCL

Yeah its easy to jump on people about safety, we've all done it, yet people never notice when they do unsafe things. WCL
