I would give leaf river a good hard look, they take good pic's and have great battery life also they have a pretty quick trigger. A guy on our ranch bought one last year and we are all impressed with it, the only down fall is the little viewing screen, however we all take extra cards and just swap them out......Look at it on the laptops back at camp, so that's not an issue for any of us....

Check these out, way over your $250 budget, but they have the fastest camera trigger on the market.

Get what you pay for! My Leaf river froze up in the cold weather. and all the others I tried ...Wildveiw, stealth, moultrie they all missed pictures and shot blanks! There is no camera as good as a Cudde. Yep you pay more but you also see more! I have had the same batteries in mine since November and they are still good! I got pictures of deer running past the camera perfect center of the picture. Ok Im not telling you to spend the money but you get what you pay for just like anything else in this world. I got $1000 wrapped up in 2 cuddes and thats all I need Cause I move them all the time!

Ill give those leafs a look. We do the same thing, 2 memory cards for each camera and we swap them out..check them at the house. Sometimes Ill bring my digital camera and view the card on there.

I didnt even know we had a trail camera forum...

Cudde backs are super expensive !! Its not like we just have a few cameras, I think we have 6 or 7 out right now and Im looking to buy 3 more.
We also have a bunch of cameras between all 8 of us, there are a couple cuddebacks and they arent any better than the cheapies we have other than they are quicker, we all agreed we wouldn't buy anymore of those, but thats just theexperience we've had with them.....
