I am considering the purchase of a lightweight climbing stand to supplement my Ambush Saddle. I would like the following features:
- Minimal weight (15-18 lbs) for longer walks
- Must have bar that rasies in front of shooter to rest muzzleloader/rifle
I am looking at the Lone Wolf Sit and Climb and the Summit Razor SS. The Razor 3 lbs heavier. I am not sure if the climbing bar on either of these stands will work as a rifle rest.I am hoping some of you guys can provide experiences that makes this big ($) decision easier. Please advise!
Well, the Summit weighs 21 lbs and the Lone Wolf weighs 18 lbs. Most of my hunts involve walks of 0.5-1.0 miles in moderately warm NC fall hunting weather.MyAPI seems bulky and heavy.
Can anyone speak to the practical difference in weights between the Summit Razor and Lone Wolf Sit & Climb?
P.S. My old API whatever model only weighs 22 lbs.
The biggest complaint about the lone wolf was comfort, the folks at lone wolf have taken that to heart and came out with a new seat setup.I have one ordered. There really is no rifle rest but I am handy with steel so will prolly be making one that clips on.

My company. Will give discounts for non-profit group events.
I have the summit razor ss. It is very comfortable and light . the rail swings out of the way if you need too. It tilts down a little low for a gun rail that is the only thing i wish i could change on it but a very good stand to be in for those long hunts
