GOt a question for you.....Is your XD unbelievably loud. I have the XD 40 and man that sucker is loud. I left my plugs in the truck and figured I would just squeeze off a round at my target. Bad mistake, my ears instantly rang.

Nice Mich. I just bought an M&P .45 in the dark earth frame... I've never felt so uncapable in my entire life! Put a shotgun or a rifle in my hands and I can usually hold my own pretty well... NOT with the pistol. I hit a copenhagen can twice at 15 yards out of a full magazine and was overjoyed.

I'm hoping with some practice I'd be able to hit a grizzly at 10 yards

That's funny. Does law enforcement wear a hand gun to "feel safe"?

I just happened on an outdoor radio show the other day and the guest was a morrel hunter in Mich and Ohio. He never enters the woods naked. Claims you don't want to encounter a badger or hog without some protection. Heard another story the same day of a boy in S.E. Ohio who was attacked by a hog. If this kids dad had been prepared would he have justbeen prepared to "feel safe"? The kid made it up a tree where the dad found him. There isa much bigger picture. I wonder how many "real men" came across that hog before and did nothing?

Why should animals many of them protected from man and also many of them predators feel anything but superior to man? An animal that attacksus will attack someone who is "less of a man" like kids.

Protected predators are being found every where, we have large wild cats right here in N.W Ohio. The dnr knows about it and they're not hiding. Getting into peoples trash. It's time to be prepared to protect some kid we'll never see from being attacked while playing in his or her yard.Or would it be better to react to a situation irrationaly, after the fact with little to no training?

I only count nine holes. Does that mean your shooting consistantly or did 4 of them decide to take the day off.

One thing about that caliber, all those hits are more than enough tochange most anythings mindfrom coming any closer.

Heard the other day that a 45 after exiting a target will not have enough power to go through a hollow core door. If that's true that a very good thing.

Isnt a grizzly tin the same size as a copenhagen?

I was free firing...at 50 yards today with a bench rest I was able to put 13 rounds in a 4 - 5 inch circle...Not bad for a 4 inch barrel...

Kimber? Awesome!!..I wanted to stay in the 500 dollar range...may buy a Kimber for concealing...I like the short model they make for concealing
