Default OK I'm a bone head

As some of you may know I recently dumped my new camera in the trout stream. It didn't survive.[&o]Last night I took the plunge (pardon the pun) and ordered a new camera. I ordered aCanonSD1100IS. It's a very highly rated camera for it's price range. Locally it sells for $249, I got it on line for $218free shipping and NO TAX! I should get it before the 30th. hopefully b/4 the middle of next week for my steelhead fishing trip. I'm looking forward to my new camera and sharing pics with all you guy's again!

Nothing wrong with getting a new camera, just a weird way of going about it![8D]

The store where I bought the camera allowed me to return it. I was honest with them about what happened and they said as long as it was less than 30 days they would take it back. Also I had a ziplock bag in the case for rainy or wet situations. Too bad I didn't use it. I will keep my new one in a ziplock anytime I'm near the water from now on!

Couldn't you have used the old one for underwater shots ?

should looked at the Olympus Stylus line....i can take underwater pics with mine! though, i havent tried it..

they just seem to be built with guys like us in mind...shock, water, dust etc proof...i really love mine...takes awesome pictures...and has a ton of options and settings to make taking good pics real easy if you take the couple seconds to find the right setting...or you can just point and shoot like normal...

mom and dad got me mine for Christmas...my old olympus took a dump on me..mom knows im rough on stuff like that and love to have my camera in my pocket...glad she thought about it! i dont have to worry when i take a drink!

funny, my cell phone is waterproof and shock proof as well...i managed to take drinks with both my regualar phone and camera(both survived...i have good luck at drying them out somehow..) but now that i got these fancy gadgets i havent dropped or wet them lol....

ORIGINAL: DropTine249

For the extra $31, I would have probably just bought it locally !!
I gave it a lot of thought. Hope I don't feel like a bonehead again! Also it is closer to $46 with local sales tax included

Good luck on the water....

Last time we went out for trout, last weekend, all 3 of us fell in !!!
The water can be a little chilly this time of year!

It was a rather comical day..

Mauser is right, you should have checked into the stylus line. My buddy has one and he dunks that thing in the creek and takes video's of trout swimming away. I'm sure your's will work good though as long as it stays dry
