Default Back From KY

Well I had a great time, TFOX put me right on a turkey. It was 50/50 shot this morning. If he flew down on my side of the creek I would have had a shot. I learned a ton being a Rookie turkey hunter about call shy birds.

I got to meet PSE16(Jake), tell you what he's a great kid. I would have loved for him to stay for dinner saturday night, but he had to go. I really want to talk you some more about Turkeys, not rattle snakes I know I tend to get down on the youth these days, but Jake is truly a great kid for his age. Kudoes to you!!!!

TFOX next year

Sounds like a worthwhile trip anyhow Gary.

I had the same luck with the birds this weekend. I set up on one this morning, on the side I have seen them travel to the strutting zone. He flew down and the next I heard him he was 100 yards away the opposite direction.[:@][:'(]

I'll try again next weekend.

Why didn't you tell the other side of the story.

I take him to MY SPOT and we get there and just get ready to setup, and we hear a voice, don't you see my decoys.[]Apparently the owner had given someone permission we didn't know about.

We moved up a couple hundred yards and the bird that pitched out on my side of the creek and wouldn't come to my purringmoved up the hill, around and down the hill right to THAT GUY and he shot the bird.Or so I believe it is the same bird, regardless, there was a bird shot in the very spot I was going to set Germ in,just not him.[&:]
