Default ALL over my decoy & trying to get in the blind!

OK.....but they were....[&:]

This one thought something on my DB hub poles tasted good.

This one has a destiny......the bull fights (OK, COW fights....but it was neat to watch).

Here's the view I had after the show. Although I didn't see a bird, last night, I know the area holds turkeys.....and the land I just acquired is beautiful. I'll be back in the fall on the other side of the property that's better deer habitat.

Sweet! Jeff I have a pic of a BIG Black Angus bull licking one of my dekes on a shotgun hunt 2 years ago. I was PO'd at the time but it was pretty funny when I look back on it. I'll have to find that pic.

I got a little nervous walking in. I'd failed to ask my cousin if there were any bulls in the pasture.....lol.

Luckily, for me, he was in the adjacent pasture.

Another funny thing.......there were two donkeys in the adjacent pasture, too. One is a BEAUTIFUL calico/pinto color phase.....and the white portions of him are BRIGHT white. Beautiful. Anyways.....where he's been laying in the red clay....he was absolutely BRIGHT orange. He looked hunter orange in the afternoon sunlight.[8D]

Those cows love turkey dekes. When the boys were in KS the guide had to belly crawl out into the field to shoo away a cow that was licking the decoy. LOL

Maybe cows are secretly carnivourous and love turkey meat.

Great pics.

It makes me wonder what they do when real turkeys are in the field with them. I've never witnessed that......but with the caution "some" of these cows exhibited approaching the deke (except for the ones I had to shoo away to set it, initially)....I'd say turkeys push cows around pretty regular.

That's funny stuff. I've had to cows, sheep, and goats hang around like that before. I usually get out of the blind and try to run em off. Cows are more stubborn than sheep & goats. They just look at you like "Who do you think you are?"
