If its in shotgun range I can kill it with my bow so I will stick to my bow! Only problem I never Turkey hunted but if I did it would be bow only!

Spray away....learn the passion...get the bird under your belt....you can do it with a bow...but if the opportunity hinders you...why not have the gun....get that bird and then plan your bow hunt...

I took my first 11 incher last year and will return with the gun this year....only this time I will have my 3CCD cam... 2009 = BOW

Here is me and my sweety with last years FIRST Bird..

Take the gun, there is no shame in it, and no one should make you feel as such.

Im torn, I want my first turkey, but think about how much of an added accomplishment if taken with a bow.... but Im thinking after that bird hit the ground neither would matter anymore

I wonder if i could take both?

I'm after my first turkey this year as well, and will be doing so with the shotgun. It's all personal preference.

I will never forget my first Gobbler. It was with a gun and it ranked right up there with my first Archery Buck. With bow or gun your first gobbler is special! GO FOR IT!!!!

Take the shotgun if you want. It's still thrilling, it's still challanging and I still love carrying the Mossberg. I hope to take one with both bow and Mossberg in PA. In NC, it's bow and bow only for us this weekend.
