Default decoy, pros & cons

A few years ago F&G allowed decoy hunting for deer in my state and I always say I'm gonna try it.
Anyone shed light on this subject with their experiences, please???

Default RE: decoy, pros & cons

My experiences with decoys have been less than desirable. All the does that have seen the decoy go on high alert and the few bucks that saw it, ignored it. The one I used was a Feather Flex bedded deer.

Deer usually circle downwind of decoys so beware.

Great - thanks!
I don't have a lot of deer sightings to begin with and wasn't sure of the "effects" of decoys.
Is this experience through out the season or rut only?
