Default Who has ever been busted while drawing?

What happened and what do you do now to try and prevent it from happening again?

Happened many times to me. I've learned to have more patience and be a bit more careful on when the time is right to draw.

I've been busted before. Usually after I reflect back I probably should have slowed down and waited. Easier said after you've been busted.

Busted here and when I shot my 168 the doe 10 minutes prior to that busted me pulling all the way back.
When he came bye I started to pull back and he looked my way but I stopped in mid pull this time and he went back
to sniffing around and WACK! I usually get busted by doe's more then bucks.

It's part of the game for bowhunting in open country from the ground (like everything up here). You do what you can by paying close attention to the animal's behavior and using the terrain/cover to your advantage but sometimes you just get hung out to dry...

My brown bear caught the movement of the bow's limb above the brush as I drew on him and had me cold busted at 17 yds. I guess he just didn't think I was that much of a threat and took the step I needed after a brief stand-off. I've had deer bust me and bug out. I've had goats bust me and walk up closer to see what the Hell that funny looking rock is. You need to know your game and how they react to their surroundings.

On turkeys and a coyote but never by a deer.

I'm Guilty! If you killed many animals I'd say it's part of Bowhunting.

Some animals are better at it than others

Not sure how anyone could bowhunt very long without getting busted sometimes...it happens.

Only twice that I can remember. Once I was drawing on a buck and a second buck busted me. That was SOOO long ago.

Most recently was about 5 years ago. A doe looked up at me as I was drawing. She stood there too long and I killed her.

Yep, been busted a few times. Mostly when I first stated bowhunting, and I would draw at the wrong time.
