For Immediate Release

BowTech is revving up its presence in the Motorsports industry by entering into a cooperative marketing program with the U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company (USSTC), sponsor of Don "The Snake" Prudhomme Racing's Top Fuel dragster. BowTech will be featured on the dragster, driven by two-time world champ Larry Dixon, for select races in Region 5 of the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) POWERade Series. The NHRA is the world's largest and loudest auto racing organization with 80,000 members and more than 35,000 licensed competitors.

"U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Co. is excited about working with BowTech and believes the new relationship will create synergy in providing choices to adult consumers in the outdoor industry in 2008 and beyond," says a USSTC marketing representative.

BowTech will be featured on the dragster at the following event locations and dates:

May 2 4, 2008 in Madison, IL
May 30 June 1, 2008 in Topeka, KS
June 5 8, 2008 in Chicago, IL
August 7- 10, 2008 in Brainerd, MN
August 27 September 1, 2008 in Indianapolis, IN

"Partnering with USSTC and its Top Fuel dragster opens another window of opportunity to reach the outdoor enthusiast," says Gene Shands, BowTech marketing vice president. "BowTech is enthused to have brand exposure in the high-performance world of drag racing."

BowTech, a wholly owned subsidiary of Savage Sports Corporation, manufactures and distributes the world's finest compound bows and supplementary archery equipment. Founded in 1999, BowTech's corporate offices and manufacturing facilities are located in Eugene, Oregon. Today, BowTech brands include BowTech, Diamond Archery, Stryker, Octane, Airow Gun and WaterDog Surface Technologies, with a worldwide dealer and distributor network.

Not from us however...USST is giving away a General bow with Octane accessories at select events this year. This past weekend at the Madison, WI Deer & Turkey Expo they gave away one a day...

So does this mean that maybe you'll have the nifty trailer at the Denver NHRA event next year?

I find it odd that the car is well over 100 mph faster than the bow.... thought I suspect a hair louder... vibration probably the same....

That's awesome! I love the NHRA, and I like Larry Dixon. Is it just a small sticker on the car or is it a bigger one?

I hope this means Bowtech will have nifty hod rod commercials instead of the lame Golfing and Baseball bat commercials!

The current record for the quartermile in top fuel cars is 4.420... top speed of 335.57.... SLOW by top fuel standards is 275. A lot of variables involved of course.

To put it in perspective, a top fuel car is going faster than any arrow ever fired off an IBO compliant bow less than 300 feet from the starting line.
