Default Need Help..Turn in my Hoyt in 2009?

VABOWMAN sparked my thoughts on his last post...

I'm going to run another fall season with my 2003 Hoyt Havoctec. However - I'm thinking of buying another bow for 2009.

Heres the deal...I love short bows with a tall brace height. My heart is in Hoyt...and I love it way more then the old MQ32 Matthews I had..just my experience...

I want to go with Hoyt again but I like the DXT...What should I go for if I'm a guy that likes short bows withtall brace? I'm seeing the Katera but the brace looks uncomfortable to me..

My draw on my Havoctec is 27.5 inches with gold tips....I'm getting about 278 fps with NAP spitfire Xp's 100 grains.

Maybe I should go shoot some bows...

Short a-to-a with tall brace height? I'd at least shoot The General if were you... It won't have the speed of a Katera, but the shot feel -- or lack thereof -- is simply awe-inspiring.

Wait until October because you probably will regret it if you don't.

With a 31in. draw, short bows and I don't get along too well.I just got the Katera XL,Z3 cams.It retired my 07 Commander. Not anything at all against the Commander,it's smooth, fast and quiet, but so is the Katera.THE difference is shootability, thats where the Katera outshines the Commander,large...Bob

If you do go shoot some bows taks a journal along and right down every thing you can about each bow. With that info you'll know what you want even before you enter the store the next time. Things just don't "feel" better without a reason. Take a tape measure.
