Default Which call do you find the most effective?

which type of call do you prefer? i know that some of these are circumstancial, like the startled alarm.

You really don't have the one I find effective, and that's the doe bleat. I use that in conjunction with trail grunts and it works pretty well if the time is right. Calling is very circumstantial though with deer. Some come in like they're on a string and others turn inside out from the same call.

X-2 I have had the same exact experiences as Bry and use this method the most.

I think the most effective call is when you see a deer and scream at the top of your lungs at it, it effectivly clears the woods.

Really though, I've had good luck with a straight grunt, and also a the Can

I never really do any "blind calling", if and when I use a call it would be the "can" or a grunt call.

The can during the rut and lost fawn bleats during the archery season.

I don't think you can beat the "can".
If I get no response I mix in a tending grunt.
